PRX-69D Proximity Voltage Detector can test for the presence of voltage in 50Hz and 60Hz utility systems. It is specifically designed for line crews working on distribution systems. The HD Electric PRX-69D Proximity Voltage Detector features seven voltage ranges between 120V AC and 69kV AC; it is able to detect voltages at a majority of elbow test points in the 120V setting. This instrument does not have to make contact with the conductor in order to identify voltages as it has a typical detection distance of approximately ten inches.

It takes just three hours for the battery to reach full charge: at full charge the HD Electric PRX-69D Proximity Voltage Detector can be used continuously for a week.

The HD Electric PRX-69D Proximity Voltage Detector’s battery may be recharged using AC/DC outlets, for instance, a 12V DC automotive outlet or 115-240V AC outlet. The HD Electric PRX-69D Proximity Voltage Detector’s internal circuitry prevents the battery from being overcharged and from the effects of extreme temperatures, whilst the instrument’s sealed design ensures that water is prevented from reaching the cell.
